Olive App

The Olive App, developed as part of my CareerFoundry program, is designed to empower users in managing their daily health through a personalized and easy-to-use platform. Creating an application that resonates with a diverse user base requires a deep understanding of their needs, a commitment to accessibility, and a user-centered design philosophy. This studio unfolds the design process of Olive, highlighting how these principles were applied to create a seamless digital health experience.

Is designed to simplify health monitoring for adults with mobility issues. It enables users to easily enter, view, and track vital health metrics such as heart rate, distance moved, and bread. This feature supports users in maintaining an accurate health log, helping them and their healthcare providers make informed decisions regarding their wellness plans.

Personalized health tips

Offers users tailored advice based on their health data and personal preferences. It utilizes the information entered into the app, like vitals to provide customized health tips aimed at improving users’ well-being. This feature supports a proactive approach to health management, encouraging lifestyle adjustments.

Medical reminders

Is designed to help users manage their medication schedules effectively. It allows users to set up reminders for taking their medications at specific times, ensuring they stay on track with their treatment plans. This feature aims to reduce the stress of remembering medication schedules and enhances adherence to prescribed health regimens, contributing to better health outcomes.


Next Steps

There are areas in the app that require specific attention. For instance, the onboarding process could be streamlined to help new users get started more quickly. Additionally, the accessibility features could be expanded to include voice commands, which would greatly benefit users with limited mobility.
